Of the list, I’ve only read The Forever War–an interesting read with quite a few ideas. If you enjoy it, though, I wouldn’t recommend the sequels. 🙂
Oh, I enjoyed Forever Peace — it also won the Hugo for Best Novel — yes, not as good as The Forever War (I admit, I prefer 70s sci-fi over 90s sci-fi)….
I’m pumped to see what you think of The Forever War (I’m a sucker for sweet covers). Also, Midnight’s Children sounds interesting. Looks like you’ve got plenty to do in the rest of your break, Sly Fox 🙂
Have you read The Forever War? I’ve been trying to read Midnight’s Children for months- then I had to give back Rohan’s copy so now I finally have one of my own 🙂 We need a literary date when I get back Mr. Bass- poor Pial has been listening to me yabbering about books and such for months. Now you’re back and I can bother you, too…

The Forever War is great — as is the loose (thematic) sequel Forever Peace.
