That was brilliant! Thank you so much for sharing. As a graduate of one week, it’s just what I needed to hear π Just so you know, I’m going to repost it on my blog and cite you as my source.
It’s funny, now that I’ve been Single for a year, in My Moments where I’m Missing Having a Relationship come up, I’ve been thinking to Myself “Make… Good… Art”, Lol
Every since I Originally Watched it, I’ve been doing that… Probably because he mentions it in the “Make Good Art”, part of this Address… And he’s right… I’ve been doing that, and I’ve been a bit less lonely.
However, I’ve recently hit a point where I’m needing a bit of a rest from all of My Creating, Lol… I don’t mean I’ll Write less, I’m not sure that’s Possible anymore… I’ve Spent the Last 10 Months Building “Writing Habits”, so whether I feel like Writing or not, I Write anyway, Lol… It just happens.
I just remember how we talked about how Difficult The Nights can be sometimes… Tis True… But Making Good Art has Helped me a bit, Lol… At least I hope it’s Good Art, Lol
I finally reached the point in my life where I’m mining my past relationship for story stuff π I wrote a quick little bit of flash fiction, which I might post on here (not sure yet) based on an experience I had around Christmas. The most therapeutic part of all this is, of course, when a piece you wrote as a result of that relationship (in whatever context) gets published or otherwise praised/recognized. Good things come out of the dark π
That’s True… Since September of last year, I’ve Written over 100 Poems… And though they’re not all specifically about Love, or Romantic Love Relationships, many of them do Indeed have “Pieces”, or “Splashes” of Feelings from that Zone Mixed in within them… And My Poems have been what has been Praised Most of all My Writing, unexpectedly…
And You’re Right, that’s one of the things that has made all of the Pain and Loneliness I’ve felt during those Periods, Feel a bit Retributive… Yah know
I’m Glad to Hear that you’re starting to tap into your Past, and Using it in Your Art… That’s pretty Cool, and like you say, Therapeutic.
If you ever want Your Flash Fiction Piece Read, but don’t want to Post it to the World, you’re Welcome to E-mail me a Copy… That goes for any of your Writing, would gladly take a gander at it.
