Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Kick-Ass Heroines

As always, TTT is hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. This week’s topic is top ten favorite kick-ass heroines. This one was super fun.

1. Lisbeth Salander (Girl with the Dragon Tattoo)

-“She hates men who hate women”.

2. Gemma Doyle  (A Great and Terrible Beauty)

-I loved this entire series, but Gemma made it awesome.

3. Hermoine Granger (Harry Potter)

-Being smart never looked so awesome.

4. Daenerys Targaryen (Game of Thrones)

-My favorite female GOT character.

5. Katniss Everdeen (Hunger Games)

-An obvious choice.

6. Susan Fletcher (Digital Fortress)

-Superhot and supersmart heroine who saves herself.

7. Lyra Belacqua (Golden Compass)

-Lyra starts out kind of annoying, but grows into an awesome character.

8. Reed Brennan (Privilege)

-Reed can’t ever catch a break, but she keeps on truckin’.

9. Tally Youngblood (Uglies)

-Tally really made this series for me.

10. Astrid (Gone)

-Astrid doesn’t take shit from anybody.

  1. 1) – You’ve gotta see the Original “Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” Series if you haven’t… The New one is fine, but the Actress in the Original is Unbelievable, and the Films are Awesome… The First one has some tough scenes to watch, but you’ve gotta watch all three.

    2) – Not familiar with

    3) – Granger Kicks Ass

    4) – Daenerys – I really like this character, but I kind of go back and forth with her… Sometimes she wines, and sometimes she just kicks ass… But she’s young (but I’m talking about the show, haven’t read the books)

    5) Katniss – Kicks Ass… The actress does a great job in that film… Haven’t read the book

6-10 Not familiar with, but as you know, I don’t Read all that much, mostly just Write

Might wanta throw Princess Leia in there somewhere, Lol… And even Padme… But these the list is based on books, right?

    Nice List

    DJ-

    1. Haha it is based on books…but then star wars is a book series in its own right…though i suppose those were maybe based on the films, but there are more books than films so…
