Most disappointing book in 2012?

-Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll (1865)

I really expected this book to be more fun and whimsical than it was. It was just plain weird and I still prefer the various movies, though they are equally weird. At least they pulled some sort of plot out of this jumble.

The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling

-It wasn’t what I expected at all, but I still enjoyed it immensely. After everything I’d been hearing, I was prepared for the worst, but I really did like it.

The Twelve by Justin Cronin (for obvious reasons)

This is the first book I’ve read that really spoke to me at the age I’m at. It also inspired me to work on my own novel, about young 20-somethings.
