Reading Spaces: Home Office Inspiration

This weekend is shaping up to be another busy one, but I am so excited because I bought a new bookshelf for my garage office! So I can finally try to get the clutter under control. My garage office is not nearly as glamorous as the ones I’m drooling over below, but we all have to start somewhere, right?

Reading Spaces: Window Seat With Storage

The only thing better than a window seat is a window seat with storage. Because if you’re anything like me, you’re probably sneaking books into the house while your significant other is away and playing dumb when he asks why the pile on the floor is getting bigger. Or you just have too much stuff in your life and need to read The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up like yesterday. Whatever your issue, a window seat with storage is the perfect antidote!

Reading Spaces: Home Office Window Seat

If I worked from home, I would definitely want my office to include a dedicated reading space. Preferably a window seat. Not only would I want the option (or temptation) to break up the work day with a little reading, but let’s be honest: have laptop, will travel. For most of us, we don’t really need a desk to do our work. Okay, maybe my back would not be happy with me working all day, every day curled up in a window seat, but once in awhile? Hell yes!

It’s also incredibly space-efficient to enclose the bookshelves and the window seat within the office to create a multi-use space. Out in California where space (including office space) comes at a premium, it just makes sense to create these kind of hardworking rooms within your home.
