Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Words

As always, TTT is hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. This week’s topic was a REWIND. I chose an older topics, favorite words. Seventeen words to be correct. These are some of my favorites below, with definitions! Enjoy! Be sure to leave me a few of your favorites in the comments.

1. Scintillate

Verb:

  1. Emit flashes of light; sparkle.

2. Cadence

Noun:

9. Diaphanous

Adjective:

10. Imbue

Verb (plus object):

11. Indolent

Adjective:

12. Equinox

13. Fecund

Adjective:

14. Hoarfrost

Noun:

1. A grayish-white crystalline deposit of frozen water vapor formed in clear still weather on vegetation, fences, etc.

15. Primordial

Adjective:

  2. (esp. of a state or quality) Basic and fundamental.

16. Cesspool

Noun:

  1. An underground container for the temporary storage of liquid waste and sewage.
  2. A disgusting or corrupt place.

17. Quintessential

Adjective:

1. Representing the most perfect or typical example of a quality or class
